Drone in Morocco — authorised aerial filming
Permitted flights, day and night, anywhere in Morocco. We put a live drone inside a FOX Sports world broadcast, over crowds of more than 35,000 people.

What we have already flown
A live drone, transmitted over TVU from Casablanca and Agadir, cut into a FOX Sports world feed alongside Los Angeles and Paris. At night, above crowds of more than thirty-five thousand people, with the corresponding authorisations. There was no second take and nothing to fix in post.
We have also filmed Rabat at night — the Hassan Tower, neighbourhoods mid-celebration — under permit.
The authorisation is ours to carry
Morocco is one of the strictest countries in the world on drones. The framework comes from decree n° 386-15 of 6 February 2015, published in Official Bulletin n° 6337: recreational flying banned, import subject to prior approval, the file assessed at Wilaya level, and CCM approval required the moment footage is recorded.
We build the file, we chase it, and we tell you at first contact whether your date is realistic. Allow 10 to 20 working days for a straightforward area, longer for night flying, crowds or a sensitive perimeter.
What we cover
Brand film and advertising · real estate and new developments · events and live broadcast · hospitality and tourism · industry and construction · location scouting.
Day or night, in 4K, with slow low moves where scale has to stay readable — which is what separates a usable aerial from a postcard.
Where we operate
Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, Agadir and across Morocco. Each city is authorised through its own prefecture: shooting in three cities in one week is not one file, it is three. We know that, and we plan for it.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I fly my own drone in Morocco?
- Not without prior import authorisation, which is rarely granted, and recreational flying is banned outright. Aircraft are routinely seized at customs. Using a compliant local operator is almost always faster and safer.
- How far ahead should I call you?
- Three weeks minimum between sign-off and first take-off. Five if there is night work, crowds or more than one city. Calling on Monday to shoot on Friday will not produce legal aerial footage.
- Is night flying possible?
- Yes, under a specific authorisation that takes longer than a daytime one. We have done it over Rabat and over crowds for a live broadcast.
- What does a drone shoot cost?
- The flight is rarely the main line — the permit file, the pilot and the insurance weigh more. We answer within 24 hours with a range, before any meeting.
- Drone permits in Morocco: how to film legallyNo, you cannot just arrive with a drone in your luggage. Here is the actual procedure — import, flight authorisation, CCM filming permit, timelines — from an operator who goes through it on every shoot.
- Night drone filming: what nobody tells youNight divides your available light by ten and triples the administrative difficulty. Here is how you prepare, expose and secure a night flight that produces usable footage.
Tell us the location and the date. We will say straight away whether the administrative calendar holds — that is the real constraint, not the weather.
