30 million views in 7 months: what that teaches

We do not only deliver films: we test what works, every week, on our own audience. The @aymenproduction account has passed thirty million views over the last seven months, with one video at fifteen million, and more than two million profile visits a month. Several of those clips were picked up by 2M, Hespress and Morocco World News.

Those are our numbers, not a client's. They do not prove we will sell your product. They prove we know what stops a thumb on a screen, because we test it in public rather than theorising about it.

Here is what it teaches.

The first three seconds decide everything

Not the first three "interesting" seconds. The first frame. A viewer decides to stay before they have understood the subject.

What holds them, in order:

  • Movement already underway. A video that opens on a static frame has lost half its audience before the second second.
  • A face, or a sense of scale. Something that immediately tells you how big the thing on screen is.
  • An anomaly. Something out of place that has to be resolved.

What never holds them: a logo, an animated title, a fade from black.

Sound carries more than image

A mediocre image with good audio passes. A beautiful image with dirty audio does not. That is true everywhere, and more true in vertical, where viewers often listen before they look.

And subtitle everything: a large share of the audience watches with the sound off. A format without subtitles gives that share away.

Vertical is not a crop

Cropping a 16:9 film to 9:16 produces a poor result: heads are cut, compositions destroyed, lateral movement stops working.

Vertical is shot vertical. Tight frame, centred subject, vertical or frontal movement rather than lateral. If you need both formats, plan it at the shoot — not in the edit.

Consistency beats volume

Eight to twelve videos a month, published steadily, outperform thirty published in a fortnight followed by silence. The algorithm is not the only reason: an audience that keeps seeing you learns to recognise you.

It is also why social content is produced in series. One well-prepared shooting day yields six to ten formats. Shooting one video at a time costs at least double per piece.

What never works

  • The corporate film recut vertically. See above.
  • The video about your company. Nobody is interested in your company. People are interested in what you can do, what you show them, what they learn.
  • The trend copied three weeks late. It is dead, and it dates your brand.
  • Publishing then stopping. An account fed for a month and abandoned is worth less than an empty one: it demonstrates that you give up.

The honest limit

Views are not customers. A fifteen-million-view video with no clear call to action and nothing behind it produces awareness — worth something, but not a sales channel.

Social content works when it is part of a path: the video attracts, the page convinces, the form converts. If one of the three is missing, the content is not what needs fixing.

Let's talk about your content — we produce in series, and we will tell you honestly whether your offer is ready for this channel.

Frequently asked questions

How many videos should a brand publish per month?
Eight to twelve for a brand starting out, published steadily rather than in bursts. Consistency matters more than volume: four a week for a month then nothing for two is worse than two a week continuously.
Phone or camera?
Both, depending on intent. A phone suits spontaneous formats and testimonials. A camera becomes necessary when you need shallow depth of field, controlled movement, or an image that will also hold up in paid media. What never forgives, either way, is the audio.
What does a social content package cost in Morocco?
Produced as a series, one shooting day commonly yields six to ten vertical formats, at an overall budget of 8,000 to 20,000 MAD depending on production level and number of cutdowns. One at a time, the cost per video at least doubles.
Do views turn into customers?
Not automatically. Views prove the format works, not that the offer is interesting. A viral video with no clear call to action and no landing page behind it produces awareness — which has value — but it is not a sales channel until the path is built.
